There are several historical places I have traveled to in my life, but among them, trekking to Harihar Fort has always been at the top of my priority list. This place is also widely popular on Instagram, so I had already decided to trek it as an adventurer. Early in the morning, we took an auto from Nashik to reach the location where the trek starts. On the way, we bought some snacks and a water bottle (someone told us it’s expensive near the location). The fort is located in a very isolated and less populated area. Anyway, we began the trek around noon. At this point, we could see that most people had already reached the peak. The trek was very difficult, with very short stone stairs, and most of the stairs were situated at a 90-degree angle from the surface. The makers had created grips on every step so that we could place our fingers and jump to another step. We took every step consciously with 100% concentration because there is no safety on this fort. One mistake could cost us our lives—it is that difficult. But other trekkers were supportive and helped us if we needed it. Eventually, we reached the peak, and the scene was completely breathtaking from the top. We were surrounded by high mountains. The air felt like it was coming from heaven. We had very memorable experiences from each step we took. We clicked some insanely perfect and unforgettable pictures from multiple locations on the fort. Honestly, the memories associated with this tour are some that I will remember even in my old age. I noticed something there—the girls from this side are really strong, I would say even stronger than the boys. I mean, they trekked effortlessly. At the end, I would like to thank God and my entire body, because this experience would never have been possible without a strong body.
